Arcadia Global School is looking for a conscientious and proactive Science Lab Technician to start in August 2023. Job Purpose: To contribute to creating, establishing and managing a functional science department, including the safe handling of all chemical supplies, scientific resources and preparation for practical studies. Candidates should be comfortable with working with chemicals as well as have an understanding of the British Curriculum practical requirements across Primary School Science. Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree in a scientific field is required (preferably Chemistry based)
- A minimum Certification in Laboratory Techniques and Procedures
- Minimum 2 years experience in a school environment
- Knowledgeable in laboratory equipment operation and maintenance
- Data analysis and report writing
- Knowledge of chemical safety and handling
- Knowledge of CLEAPPS and H&S guidelines
- Knowledge of first aid and fire safety
- Excellent computer awareness
- Should manage workload to meet high demands and tight deadlines
- Confident, self-motivated and proactive
