Role Summary
We are seeking a data-driven
Pricing Manager
to lead the development and execution of competitive pricing strategies for our domestic and international courier operations. You will be responsible for balancing profitability with market competitiveness by analysing complex data sets, monitoring global trade trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Pricing:
Develop and implement value-based pricing models for domestic parcel delivery and international express services, considering price elasticity and brand positioning.
Market Analysis:
Continuously monitor competitor rates, regional trade trends, and global shipping indices to ensure market-leading offerings.
Financial Optimisation:
Track pricing performance against budget targets, ensuring accuracy in forecasting and adherence to margin objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to tailor service for domestic and cross-border e-commerce and high-value corporate accounts.
Contract Negotiation:
Support the sales team in high-level contract negotiations by providing detailed commercial proposals and margin impact analysis.
Tool Development:
Lead the development of data-driven pricing frameworks and automated tools to streamline the quotation process for agents and customers.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Experience:
5+ years of experience in pricing management, revenue management, or logistics sales, ideally within the courier or freight forwarding industry.
Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of domestic and international shipping procedures, including customs regulations, fuel surcharges, and multimodal transportation.
Analytical Skills:
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI; familiarity with ERP/SAP systems is a plus.
Negotiation:
Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms and service level agreements (SLAs) with global carriers and vendors.
