Job Title: Pricing Analyst - Shipping Industry

Location: Remote/on-site

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Pricing Analyst to join our team in the shipping industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and sales data to develop and implement optimal pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability for our shipping services. The Pricing Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align pricing with business objectives and ensure competitive positioning in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct market research and analysis to inform pricing decisions for shipping services

- Analyze sales data, customer segmentation, and revenue metrics to identify pricing opportunities

- Develop and implement pricing strategies to achieve business objectives, including freight pricing, fuel surcharges, and accessorials

- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align pricing with business goals and customer needs

- Continuously monitor pricing performance and make adjustments to optimize revenue and profitability

- Develop and maintain pricing models, tools, and processes for shipping services

- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership on pricing and revenue management

- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the shipping industry

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Logistics, or related field

- 2+ years of experience in pricing analysis, quotation, negotiation, revenue management, preferably in the shipping and forwarding industry

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in data management software (e.g., Excel, )

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

- Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics in the shipping industry
