The Pre-Sales Engineer (ELV Projects) is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team during the pre-sales process. The role involves understanding client requirements, preparing technical proposals, BOQs, and system designs for Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, public address, BMS, fire alarm, and structured cabling systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
Attend meetings with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical consultation.
Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies as needed.
Technical Proposal & Documentation:
Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to RFPs/RFQs.
Develop system designs, schematics, BOQs, and compliance statements for ELV systems.
Assist in creating tender documentation, submittals, and method statements.
Solution Design:
Design integrated ELV solutions using industry best practices and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, SIRA).
Select appropriate products and technologies that meet project specifications and budget.
Coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers to obtain technical data, pricing, and support.
Internal Coordination:
Work closely with the sales, project, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project handover.
Collaborate with CAD/drafting team for drawing preparation and revisions.
Product Knowledge & Training:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ELV systems, products, and market trends.
Provide training and support to internal teams on new technologies and solutions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications / Computer Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in pre-sales or design of ELV systems.
Strong knowledge of ELV system standards, design practices, and product offerings.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and ELV design software/tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment:
Office-based with occasional site visits.
May require flexible working hours based on project timelines.
