JOB SUMMARY:

A dynamic and result oriented pre-sale technical professional with experience in selling, designing and recommending data center physical infrastructure solutions to clients. A high energy professional who excels in business development in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

KEY RESULTS AREAS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Support business development and proposal work
• Knowledge of all infrastructure domains including data centers, networks, storage, servers, service monitoring and end user computing
• Anchor and lead consulting engagements by providing technical and business insights to client projects
• Conduct a technical needs assessment with client, doing the gap analysis, finding their needs, set the approach strategy and lead technical discussion with vendors
• Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts
• Establish detailed project plans and execute against them
• Manage projects and delivering expectations, both internally and with clients
• Conduct Data Centre health check and provide client with detailed report of the Data Centre status, finding and recommendations and present to client
• Account planning skills with experience in up-sell and cross-sell strategies
• Lead the project management team in overall administration, technical, and financial issues pertain to the projects
• Develop pricing and cost models for complex engagements, ensuring adequate margins while ensuring risks are understood and mitigated.
• Ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate the value proposition to the customer
• Vendor management, negotiation and oversight of vendor resources.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• RCDD, CDCP, CDCS Certified

• Uptimes Accredited Tier Designer (ATD)

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Must have minimum 5 or more years of experience in a technical sales role or in a pre-sales support role recommending IT product solutions to clients, preferably selling or recommending datacenter solutions
• Experience in large or complex ICT projects or environments
• Extensive experience in Data Centre physical Infrastructure design and implementation. In addition to OSP and FTTx network.

Must have extensive knowledge of UAE markets

SPECIFIC SKILLS

• Excellent spoken English skills with persuasive communication abilities
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in Arabic or any other foreign language
• Solid understanding of technologies, partners and solutions in the IT datacenter environment
• Used to working in a complex sales environment with perseverance and a long-term vision
• Excellent engineering skills in designing and implementation of power, cooling, cabinets, containment system, grounding, cabling and physical security for mission critical data centers
• Solid knowledge of international standards and industry best practices
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, results-driven and excellent time management skills
• Work experience at a technology manufacturer / vendor is an added advantage
• Excellent understanding of the full project life cycle.
