The Role

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the development and execution of diesel power generation projects. This role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Director will lead a team of professionals, coordinate with various departments, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Minimum Education o Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field. o Advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus. Language Requirements English - Fluent (required) Arabic (is a plus) Knowledge Skills and Experience: o Minimum 5 years in the Power Generation Project or similar industry. o Extensive knowledge of diesel power generation systems and technologies. o Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to lead and motivate a team. o Proficiency in project management software and tools. o Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. o Proven experience in managing large-scale diesel power generation projects. o Experience in a senior managerial position within the power generation industry. o Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. o Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing project teams.



Requirements

Plan, execute, and finalize diesel power generation projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. o Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. o Develop project plans and schedules and monitor project progress. o Manage project risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies. o Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. o Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment. o Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. o Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders. Self-Management Responsibilities: o Maintain a high level of personal organization and time management. o Continuously improve industry knowledge and stay updated with the latest trends and technologies. o Demonstrate accountability and credibility in all actions. o Adapt to changes and thrive in a dynamic environment. Key Performance Indicators: o Project completion rate: The percentage of projects completed on time and within budget. o Quality of project deliverables: The degree to which project outcomes meet or exceed quality standards. o Stakeholder satisfaction: The level of satisfaction among stakeholders with project outcomes. o Team performance: The effectiveness and efficiency of the project team. o Compliance rate: The degree to which projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. o Cost control: The ability to manage and reduce costs.
