Mission
Support to build and maintain the brand image through the media network reflecting a strong impact in the coverage results, both qualitative and quantitative
PR outreach of both brand images and products to be aligned with the local Communications Manager, the WW Communications team and in accordance with the local merchandising team and product availability in stores
Support the Communications Manager and local teams with marketing initiatives; contributing creative ideas to maintain the brand and its products in the eyes of the public and for programming and engagement of internal and external communication channels which will support business needs
Main assignments
Develop and maintain a strong rapport with media personnel including fashion directors, editors and stylists, models, celebrities and influencers at all print and online titles on a local and regional level
Responsible for maintaining updated media databases, monitoring media requests, saving off coverage, creating coverage trackers and books and updating weekly reports
Under the guidance of the Communications Manager, pitch media placements for ongoing brand objectives in the Middle East and work closely with and assist on the development of press strategies for new launches as well as overarching brand initiatives
Manage and analyse incoming inquiries as well as facilitate details surrounding press requests, interviews, features, photo shoots, etc. as well as manage bios, media alerts and other relevant materials for use in press outreach
Develop bundles of product info\xe2\x80\x99s and assets which answers to the needs of the local and regional press requests and editorial calendars
Organise and manage press days and trips, in relation to launching new collections and products
Manage and coordinate incoming photo shooting requests locally and overseas (in coordination with the brand\xe2\x80\x99s press offices)
Various ongoing research projects focused on consumer behaviours in relation to the media trends and consumption, as well as key competition PR activities and press events
Liaise with retail and franchisee team (for PAN Arab countries) to create synergies and opportunities and participate in brainstorms and contribute creative ideas for pitch angles, story ideas and event activations
Assist with press showroom pulls, all press sample trafficking and inventory of collections
Assist with administrative duties and miscellaneous errands within the communications departments, and that\xe2\x80\x99s including but not limited to: client, press and retail events
Create monthly reportings including industry news on an on-going basis, as well as social media trends and social feeds
Position reports directly to Communications Manager
Profile
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic
Based in Dubai, UAE
Flexibility in travelling (2-3 times a year or more)
PR professional having completed at least 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience (In-house or agency) with savvy, well-seasoned fashion experience
Strong local and regional network with both key editor\xe2\x80\x99s/press journalists in lifestyle/fashion/Art/Culture titles for both Men and Women sectors
Have meticulous attention to the regional media trends, needs and evolution in both print and online
BA degree or more in either Communications-Arts/Public Relations or related fields and strong knowledge in journalism field is an addition
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
Interest in and knowledge of fashion trends, pop culture, and current events
