Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced

PowerBuilder & .NET Developer

to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level business applications. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who has worked extensively with legacy PowerBuilder systems and modern .NET technologies, and who can confidently handle system enhancements, migrations, and long-term application stability.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, support, and enhance

PowerBuilder applications

used in daily business operations. Develop and support applications using

.NET technologies

(C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs). Analyze existing systems and implement enhancements, bug fixes, and performance improvements. Work closely with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Perform database design, optimization, and complex query development using

SQL Server / Oracle

. Participate in system upgrades, modernization, and partial or full migration from PowerBuilder to .NET. Ensure application security, stability, and compliance with internal standards. Prepare technical documentation and provide ongoing application support.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of hands-on experience

in software development. Strong expertise in

PowerBuilder

(DataWindows, PFC, application frameworks). Solid experience with

.NET technologies

including C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web APIs. Strong SQL skills and experience with

SQL Server and/or Oracle databases

. Experience in maintaining large-scale or legacy enterprise applications. Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end application ownership.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience in migrating legacy applications to modern platforms. Knowledge of REST services, integrations, and reporting tools. Familiarity with version control tools and CI/CD processes. Experience working in government, banking, or enterprise environments.

Salary Range

AED 15,000 - 25,000 per month

(depending on experience and skill set).
