As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sharjah Smart Center for Climate Resilience (SSCCR), you are expected to have a strong background in water resources management, with expertise in flood risk evaluation and mitigation. Proficiency in GIS tools and advanced programming skills is essential. You will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions supporting the center's ongoing projects that address national climate resilience challenges.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Conduct GIS-based flood mapping and data preparation.
Develop machine learning models for flood prediction and resilience.
Create flood inundation maps using advanced modeling tools.
Support urban flood risk assessment using drone-based LiDAR and GIS.
Contribute to the Water Atlas Project by mapping river systems, land use, and groundwater potential.
