Post Fixture Executive / Operator (Dry Bulk)

to join our growing team.

In this role, you'll handle

day-to-day vessel operations

, execute voyage and time charter contracts, manage post-fixture activities, and ensure voyages run smoothly and profitably. You'll coordinate with masters, agents, and service providers, manage laytime calculations, voyage accounts, and documentation, and support our commercial and legal teams on operational matters.

Post Fixture Executive / Operator (Dry Bulk)

to join our

newly established Dubai office

. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to develop within a respected and expanding international shipping company.

Key Responsibilities

Execute and monitor voyage and time charter (TC) contracts in line with company and commercial objectives. Manage all post-fixture activities and day-to-day voyage operations. Track vessel movements and coordinate with masters, port agents, bunker suppliers, and other service providers. Plan bunkers, appoint agents, and ensure all required documentation is obtained and completed on time. Prepare, negotiate, and finalize laytime calculations to

maximize dispatch and minimize demurrage

. Handle voyage accounts, including hire and freight payments, Statements of Account (SOA), and final voyage settlements. Review and negotiate proforma and final Disbursement Accounts (D/A) with agents. Liaise with legal and insurance teams on claims and disputes, ensuring timely resolution. Coordinate with finance and commercial departments for payments, BL collection, and financial reconciliations. Review stowage plans and vessel descriptions to

maximize cargo intake and voyage efficiency

. Monitor and report on vessel performance, providing regular feedback to management. Assist the Chartering and Operations Manager and support other operational tasks as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

from a recognized university.

1-3 years of experience

in dry bulk operations, including charter party terms, laytime calculations, and Bills of Lading/documentation. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Integrity when handling confidential information. Ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships with owners, charterers, and brokers. Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
