Our client is a reputable Investment Institution based in the UAE; they are looking to hire a Portfolio Manager specializing in the Energy, Utilities and Manufacturing industry to join their team. This individual will play an important role in driving the asset management and growth of the firm\'s energy and utilities vertical. The suitable candidate will work with top management to achieve investment excellence and maximize shareholders\' returns.

Responsibilities:

- Work with the boards, committees, and management of the relevant assets to achieve excellence and maximize shareholders returns
- Challenge resilience of business cases of the asset\'s projects and investments
- Measure performance against set targets for the function and provide guidance for achievement of targets
- Drive the development of strategy of the function in alignment with the asset strategies
- Develop clear assets strategy and drive the timely implementation
- Track and report the performance of the assets and provide insights to address the gaps and optimize the performance; Monitor, follow up and report on a regular basis the performance of assets (HSE/financial/operational/investments), and track progress against defined value creation plans
- Work with the assets on the development of budgets and business plans and challenge them to ensure it is aligned to the shareholders ambitions
- Work closely with the M&A team on potential transactions related to the vertical
- Develop and maintain effective relationships and build a network of key stakeholders within the assets
- Identify and flag potential risks for the respective portfolio
- Recommend action plans to enhance and optimize the company\'s performance and drive transformation programs as and when needed
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders and maintain dialogue to discuss financial needs and requirements to maximize portfolio revenues
- Work on various business development activities and evaluate potential investment opportunities

Requirements:

- 10 to 15 years of relevant and proven Portfolio Management experience in Energy, Utilities or Manufacturing
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar disciplines
- Master\'s Degree and CFA are preferred
- Strong financial knowledge and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient communication skills in English & Arabic
