Job Description

Duties: Provides adequate information and instructions for proper and safe boat operations within the port. Supervises and participates in conducting safety inspections of the port, including piling inspections, and makes recommendations on necessary repairs. Supervises and participates in the allocation of dock space for visiting ships. Monitors port construction projects, repairs, and security provisions at the facility. May make minor repairs to marine equipment. May coordinate special programs and events involving the port facility. Participates in the selection, placement, promotion, safety, training, appraisal and discipline of assigned employees. Prepares and maintains records and reports of activities.
