Port Supervisor

Port Manager / Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

The Port Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day port and terminal operations at Hamriyah Port, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely handling of vessels, cargo, and port services. The role requires close coordination with shipping agents, vessel masters, port users, customs, and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulations and smooth operational flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Port & Vessel Operations:

Supervise and coordinate vessel berthing, un-berthing, and cargo handling operations. Monitor vessel schedules, port entry/exit, and ensure timely turnaround. Liaise with vessel crew, and port authorities for operational requirements. Ensure compliance with port safety, security, and environmental standards. Oversee bunkering, ship supply, and maintenance activities within port limits.

Cargo & Yard Management:

Supervise loading, unloading, storage, and delivery of cargo. Monitor yard/warehouse utilization, equipment usage, and cargo safety. Ensure proper documentation, tallying, and reporting of cargo operations. Coordinate with customs and regulatory bodies for inspections and clearances.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with IMO, ISPS, local port authority, and environmental regulations. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments during operations. Report and investigate incidents, accidents, or near misses promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma/Degree holder. Minimum 1 years of experience in port operations, shipping, or terminal supervision. Having Driving License Excellent communication and coordination skills with multi-national crews and stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple operations, and respond to emergencies. Proficiency in MS Office and port management systems (PMS/TOS preferred). Fluency in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).
