  We are currently supporting a client who operate within the offshore oil, gas and renewable energy sector to bring on a Port Engineer to join them at their branch in Abu Dhabi.
  
  In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and technical supervision for the vessels which operate in UAE waters, ensuring they are kept in a safe operating condition. You will be responsible for executing planned maintenance, undertake offshore inspections on the vessels, support with the selection of offshore technical crew and liaise with the operations department to monitor and report on maintenance budgets, amongst various other duties.
  The ideal candidate will have: -
  

  • Chief Engineer Unlimited Certificate of Competency \xe2\x80\x93 Essential
  • ARAMCO / ADNOC experience
  • Sea going experience in rank as Chief Engineer
  • Offshore Vessel experience \xe2\x80\x93Jack-Up Barges preferred but other offshore vessels considered
  • Shore based technical ship management experience such as Technical Superintendent (desirable not essential)

  This is a permanent shore-based role \xe2\x80\x93 in order to be considered you must be willing to be based permanently in Abu Dhabi.
