Job Description

Ensure that all vessels are in full compliance with all international and statutory rules and

regulation and Client requirements.

Ensure the implementation of the company HSEMS and SMS.
To ensure the successful, safe and profitable conduct of the vessel operations.
AUTHORITY, RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

Authority:

To make all operational, & other decisions that affect the performance of the department
with due regards to quality of services provided, Health of employees, Safety of personnel

& property, and the protection of the environment.

To stop any unsafe work that may harm the health of personnel, cause injury to personnel
or damage the environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all Mutawa Marine Masters, Chief Mates and rating perform according to
company policy towards the achievements of the company objectives.

Follow up Vessel, Equipment, Class, Flag, Port State and Client requirements
Follow up mandatory periodical vessel inspection & certification.
Follow up all hull and machinery insurance / damage claims.
Follow up mandatory professional qualification & certification of Marine personnel.
Ensures that all vessels documentation and safety requirements are fulfilled according to
the charter requirements

Follow up work order close-outs.
Follow up material requisition close-outs.
Ensures corrective actions arising out of incident investigations are satisfactorily closedout.
Follows up on NCRs arising out of audits are satisfactorily closed-out.
Responsible for crew work / leave rotation cycles and their oil field security documentation.
Ensures new marine crew is fully briefed regarding the work programme and safety
requirements and disciplines in force on the vessel.

Any other related work as dictated by the company's operations.
Carry out Client visits / meetings and addressing concerns.
Responsible for monitoring the Fuel consumption and verifying the records / evidences.
To always protect oneself, colleagues, work sites, equipment and the environment.
