Job Description

The PMV Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of the company's plant, machinery, and vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, repair, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role is critical to support site operations by ensuring all equipment and machinery are available, operational, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the procurement, allocation, maintenance, and disposal of all construction equipment, vehicles, and machinery. Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and local regulatory standards. Supervise workshop and maintenance teams, including mechanics, electricians, and storekeepers. Control spare parts inventory, workshop tools, and consumables. Monitor equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to ensure efficiency and budget adherence. Coordinate equipment mobilization and demobilization across project sites. Maintain records for equipment history, inspection reports, breakdowns, repairs, and utilization. Implement and monitor fleet tracking systems and maintenance software (if applicable). Liaise with procurement and logistics departments for equipment leasing or purchase. Enforce HSE policies and ensure all PMV operations follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in PMV operations within a construction or contracting company. At least 5 years in a managerial role in the UAE or GCC.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, construction vehicles, and workshop management. Familiarity with ERP or fleet management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar). Understanding of UAE regulatory standards for heavy equipment and transport.
