Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Static Equipment Engineer (Pressure equipment) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Overview / Responsibilities Coordinate the job team taking care of the technical and organization problems. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is proceeding in compliance with contract requirements. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is carrying out the design activity within the established time schedule. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is requiring the proper authorization for any exception or modifications to the established procedures or to contract requirements. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is proceeding according to the established procedures of the documents produced by the Specialty Engineers. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is reviewing the job specifications for compliance with the Contract requirements and for their reciprocal consistency. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is reviewing with the Project Engineering Coordinator all the needs and technical aspects of the job and acting as interface with the other Specialty Groups. Assist the Specialty Engineers in the discussion with the Client Representatives of specific technical problems, which might arise during the (job) Contract development. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is keeping Contract documents and correspondence duly filed. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is reminding to all members of the Contract team to observe the ethics of confidentiality on technologies licensed by the Clients or Third Parties. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is checking design calculations performed by other Specialty Engineers following the established Discipline Guidelines Review the technical evaluation of bids pertinent to the Design Group. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is preparing the material requisition, mechanical calculations and engineering drawings following the Discipline Guidelines. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is keeping the Manager of Vessel Engineering and Design Group and the Project Specialty Leader fully informed of the status of designing activities. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is submitting drawings to the Manager of Vessel Engineering and Design Groups for approval before issue. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is coordinating the exchange of information between the vessel designers team and the Suppliers. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is coordinating the exchange of information between the vessel designer team and the Inspection/Expediting Department. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is reviewing Vendor documents (calculation sheets, welding procedure specifications, valve Dwgs, etc.) following the established Discipline Guidelines. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is supervising the implementation of the Corrective Action pertinent the Contract. Support Client PM in the evaluation of Critically Rating Item List and in the preparation of the Project Execution Plan. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is performing an analysis of "feedback" from field. Ensure that the EPC Contractor is checking the Clients Standards and Practices at the beginning of the job in order to highlight any "unusual requirement". Such requirements shall be listed in a document to be forwarded to the Project Engineer Co-ordinator and shall be circulated inside the originator's department Ensure that the EPC Contractor is executing the design, within his own activities, in accordance with the applicable laws and standards requirements regarding Health and Safety and Environment during the engineering phase Ensure that the EPC Contractor is complying with the applicable HSE requirements regarding to their health and safety care

Skills / Qualifications

BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification with extensive relevant experience Minimum of 7 years' experience Minimum of 5 years in similar position Good leadership and team building skills Good written and verbal communication skills Experience in PMC/EPC Organization in Refinery/Petrochemical Industries and have managed major projects Company Overview
