Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Pipeline Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

• Prepare FEED and detailed engineering drawings of onshore oil / gas flowlines, trunk lines and pipelines
• Read, review, and apply Site Topographical Survey drawings and data
• Perform or supervise preparation of Pipeline Design Basis, Specifications, Mechanical Design, Material Requisitions, Material Take Off (MTO), Population Density / Area Classification Studies.
• Review and provide engineering input / guidance for Overall Routing Maps and Layouts, Plot Plans, Pipeline Alignment sheets, LUP (Land Used Permission), and Typical drawings
• Provide quality control checks of all pipeline engineering documents and drawings
• Familiar with the relevant International Standards, especially with ASME B31.4 and ASME B31.8
• Carry out study and design work using Wood and Client design methods, standards and data, to a high quality and in accordance with project requirements
• Ensure that Wood and Client\xe2\x80\x99s Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are complied with
• Ensure that all the produced deliverables are complied with QA / QC and ISO System requirements of Wood
• Provide assistance to other disciplines and participate in review meetings in accordance with project requirements
• Participate in and advice on all design activities and initiatives, including provision of training, inductions and documentation review
• Verify that the work is completed to the agreed schedule

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with minimum 15 years relevant experience in the oil / gas industry
• Must have been in PMC organisation for at least 3 years in similar position
• Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices to be adopted during FEED and EPC phases of oil / gas projects
• Must have the capacity to supervise and manage FEED engineer and development of FEED deliverables
• Proven track record in pipelines FEED and detailed design experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is required
• Experience in the use of pipeline design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth Pro Maps, CAESAR II) is advantageous
• Familiar with the relevant International Standards
• Candidates located in UAE are preferred
