Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Construction Manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
Job Purpose and scope
A key member of the Project\'s management team, reporting directly to the 1.2MMBD Construction Manager. The role directly manages and is accountable for the planning and execution of the Islands U/G civil works, onshore fabrication and the offshore transportation and installation / mechanical completion of the 1.2MMBD components and brownfield modifications of the UZ1.2MMBD project to ensure that the project objectives are achieved. Leads UZ1.2MMBD construction efforts to ensure the project is executed in accordance with ADNOC Offshore and project procedures and Shareholder expectations. Directly manages Construction Leaders for on island construction and onshore precast.

Principal accountabilities
- Lead the UZ1.2MMBD Construction team to support the objectives and strategies
- Champion safety in all construction aspects of UZ1.2MMBD and promote the safety objective that \xe2\x80\x9cNobody gets Hurt\xe2\x80\x9d
- Manage the 1.2MMBD On Island Construction teams responsible for the planning, development and operations to ensure construction execution certainty
- Manage the UZ1.2MMBD Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s construction planning and execution efforts to ensure compliance with UZ1.2MMBD Project objectives, strategies, obligations and requirements
- Establish a construction organization to implement the 1.2MMBD Project execution plans and procedures and coordinate resourcing of UZ1.2MMBD construction team positions
- Provide construction and execution strategy support to the UZ1.2MMBD Project Team through construction oversight and assistance
- Ensure that the 1.2MMBD Contractor and Subcontractors are compliant with project safety expectations, policies and procedures
- Steward the development of an Integrated Safety Plan for 1.2MMBD construction, including SIMOPS for all island and brownfield work
- Assist in the review and implementation of all 1.2MMBD Contractor safety plans
- Steward interfaces and interactions between the UZ1.2MMBD Contractor and other UZ Projects, Production Operations, and Drilling
- Manage the interface with ADNOC Offshore OPCO to execute brownfield works in order to minimize disruption in ongoing production operations
- Ensure that the detailed design deliverables support constructability
- Report construction progress, performance, initiatives and issues to the Project Team
- Lead UZ1.2MMBD construction planning teams to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities
- Sponsor construction related readiness reviews, constructability workshops and CERs
- Take a leadership role in mentoring and training UAE Nationals in construction management
- Clearly communicate to direct reports short term and long term goals that support the UZ1.2MMBD project objectives
- Encourage and recognize outstanding performance, and ensure that staff are appraised regularly and developed accordingly
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Professional Engineer accreditation preferred
- Minimum of fifteen 15 years of previous Construction management experience on large oil and gas development projects
- Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to work with people across a diversity of cultures
