Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for PMC Design Manager to support one of our ADNOC Projects.

Successful candidate shall perform below responsibilities:
  • Leadership of design teams to develop designs in compliance with design standards and customer requirements.
  • Staff management of design team including objective setting, performance management and supporting career development
  • Development of design options and feasibility studies including the preparation of reports and presentation to stakeholders
  • Management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing of the design team and others through considering safety as part of the design process.
  • Technical coordination with wider team to integrate design activities into overall project delivery
  • Monitoring progress of design development and achievement of design deliverables to agreed schedule / budget
  • Leading the production of specifications / works information for inclusion in procurement documents
  • Engagement with customers / facilities operators to define and clarify technical requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with technical assurance standards and reviews of designs / reports produced by the team.
  • Review and Assurance of contractor\xe2\x80\x99s designs to confirm compliance with concept designs and design standards.
  • Review of contractor\xe2\x80\x99s construction work to validate compliance with design and resolving any design technical queries.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and construction of traditional service stations by developing innovative solutions to meet ADNOC Distribution\'s high standards for quality and efficiency.
  • Responsible for the development of compact stations designed for convenience and quick customer service.
  • Lead design studies of projects related to the establishment of vehicle inspection centers and auto service facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Spearhead initiatives related to ADNOC\'s "My Station" concept, creating modern and customer-focused service stations.
  • Oversee and develop the renovation and enhancement of existing convenience stores (C-stores) to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Manage and lead design projects related to mobile service stations and trucks, providing fuel and services at various locations.
  • Develop and implement studies and innovative solutions for mobile convenience stores, expanding ADNOC Distribution\'s reach.
  • Lead the studies and implementation of the introduction of mobile car wash and service lines to enhance customer offerings.
  • Oversee a range of civil construction projects, from infrastructure improvements to new building developments
Skills / Qualifications

Essential:
  • Understanding of ADNOC Distribution / other Downstream Companies with similar line of services in terms Regulations and application to design activities
  • Experience of Design Management in service stations and all other associated facilities
  • Experience of designing in BIM and use of design technologies as needed for ADNOC Distribution / other Downstream Companies with similar line of services requirements.
  • Experience of appropriate design standards applicable to service stations
  • Ensure compliance of ADNOC Distribution projects in terms of quality and health safety and regulation policies.
  • Experience in the full project life cycle through detailed design and into construction
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of contract management
  • Experience with ADNOC Distribution on similar projects related to the construction of traditional service stations, and all associated facilities
  • Experience with ADNOC Distribution on similar projects on the go compact stations, vehicle inspection centers and autoserv centers, my station projects, modifications of existing c-stores, my station trucks, mobile c-stores, mobile car wash and mobile lube, civil building
  • Experience in project management including management of consultancy services contracts
Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree \xe2\x80\x93 Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status and membership of relevant professional body
  • Masters Degree in Engineering Related Subject or appropriate Post graduate qualification
  • Fellow level membership of relevant professional body
