The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient operation in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, and sanitation).
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, leaks, blockages, and water pressure problems.
Fit and repair piping systems, fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers), and appliances.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Maintain inventory of plumbing tools, parts, and equipment.
Respond to emergency plumbing calls and resolve issues promptly.
Coordinate with other maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors when needed.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly work reports.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a plumber or similar role.
Strong knowledge of water supply, drainage systems, and plumbing codes.
Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment safely.
Skilled in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or plumbing certification is preferred.
