Plumber Technicians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including both water supply and drainage networks. They ensure all plumbing components operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine
preventive maintenance (PPM)
and inspections to identify and resolve potential plumbing issues.
Perform
corrective and emergency maintenance (CM/EM)
to repair leaks, clogs, or damaged pipes and fixtures.
Utilize
diagnostic tools
to locate the source of plumbing problems and determine appropriate solutions.
Troubleshoot and repair
issues related to water supply and drainage systems.
Weld, solder, or join
pipes and fittings to ensure secure, leak-free connections.
Work with various
pipe materials
such as copper, PVC, PPR, HDPE, and steel.
Inspect, install, and repair
plumbing fixtures
including sinks, faucets, toilets, showers, and water heaters, ensuring proper alignment and performance.
Maintain and service
water treatment systems
like softeners and filtration units, addressing any water quality concerns.
Respond promptly to
emergency plumbing calls
, such as burst pipes or major leaks, and resolve issues efficiently.
Follow all
safety standards and procedures
, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of
tools and equipment
to optimize productivity.
Communicate effectively with the
supervisor
regarding issues in the plumbing, drainage, or related systems, and report required materials or repairs.
Provide updates on completed work and suggest potential improvements or system upgrades.
Maintain
accurate documentation
of all work performed, including service reports, repair logs, parts used, and system configurations for future reference.
