Own the design and development of automotive controls design for complex logic considering human / equipment interactions
To create a communication between controllers and HMI using Raw CAN and J1939 protocols
Act as a interface between the electrical and mechanical engineering design teams during the electrical controls design of the complex systems logic to ensure that the controls specifications are done as required
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively negotiating and communicating with running projects
Review new , advance technology into the market related to controls systems interfacing requirements
Review and update specifications to maintain the optimal technology in the control system
Understands control systems, requirements and develop the required code and logic
Develop, document and update program library, with emphasis on the electrical and control design standards
Support Team for complex issue related to control system,
Develop, program, and commission PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems for automotive manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
Design and implement electrical control systems, including hardware selection, panel layout, and wiring schematics, tailored to automotive production lines.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and automation issues in a fast-paced automotive environment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, robotics, and manufacturing) to integrate PLC programs with other automated systems.
Perform modifications and upgrades to existing PLC programs and control systems to optimize performance, meet new production requirements, and improve safety.
Conduct thorough testing and simulation of PLC programs to validate functionality and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel and other engineers on PLC programming and system operation.
Stay current with the latest PLC technologies, programming languages, and industry best practices relevant to automotive manufacturing.
Desired Candidate Profile
Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in electrical principles.
Demonstrates a minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC programming within the automotive industry, showcasing practical application.
Displays a solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including robotics, conveyors, and assembly lines, highlighting industry-specific expertise.
Experience in CODESYS is mandatory
Exhibits strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and automation issues.
Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, showcasing interpersonal abilities.
