Position Overview:
The Shutdown Plant Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections and ensuring the integrity of plant equipment during shutdown periods. This role requires extensive experience in plant inspection, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of plant equipment during shutdown periods to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards related to plant equipment.
Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) inspections on various plant components.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to address any quality issues or non-conformances.
Monitor and verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
Conduct pre-inspection meetings and provide guidance to project teams.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
Participate in audits and assessments as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in plant inspection within the oil and gas industry.
Prior shutdown experience is mandatory.
API certificates are mandatory (2 API certificates preferred).
Strong knowledge of industry standards and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
