Job Description

A major real estate developer in Saudi Arabia is looking to hire a Planning Manager for its exquisite, luxury tourism destination project being developed along the northwestern Red Sea coastline of Saudi Arabia The Planning Manager will monitor project progress, manage project schedule and ensure that project implementation is progressing according to plan and that the development and construction aspects are aligned with The Red Sea Development Company's (TRSDC) business objectives and requirements. Responsibilities:
Schedule Management

  • Provide support in developing detailed master schedule and deliverable schedule that define development phases as a road map for the contractors to lead through the project milestones in order to ensure that projects are managed time efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Assist in reviewing and studying detailed project schedules and obtain relevant details from the related stakeholders to clarify the technical aspects in the project in order to integrate those aspects into the master schedule and deliverable schedule and define project planning timelines.
  • Monitor the progress of projects through reports from the contractors to ensure that the project implementation is progressing according to plan and that the development and construction aspects are aligned with project planning.
  • Review the progress of projects along with the project and construction management team and assist in monitoring and controlling projects against budgeted costs, quality, schedule and standards to ensure that the project milestones and timelines are aligned with TRSDC metrics.
  • Assist in managing relationships with the contractors and consultants, plan and discuss schedules and upcoming works, and recommend appropriate planning actions to ensure that milestones and project delivery dates are met.
  • Provide support in implementing key performance indicators related to project planning and in monitoring the results, identifying areas of unsatisfactory results, and implementing mitigation plans to improve results.
  • Report weekly progress of works, contractor and consultant performances, procurement performance, issues and solutions, and scheduled work for the upcoming weeks to the Planning Director for an informed project status.
  • Identify and manage different aspects of risks presented on a project coming from contractors or consultants to create preventative risk methods and avoid potential delays and added cost.
  • Contribute in the negotiations of Extensions of Time and schedule-related disputes with the consultants and contractors and other construction professionals in order to guarantee TRSDC's best interest.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or any related field
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project
Job Type: Full-time Salary: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:

License/Certification:
  • PMP (Preferred)
