Planning Engineer
Minimum Experience: 5 years

The Planning Engineer works under the guidance of the Planning Manager to develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules. They are responsible for collecting progress data from various departments, analyzing deviations from the baseline, and reporting on project status. This role is crucial for providing the technical planning support needed to keep the project on track.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 based on the project WBS.
• Collect and compile progress data from site engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors.
• Update schedules regularly (weekly/monthly) with actual progress and forecasted completion dates.
• Identify and report on variances between planned and actual progress, investigating the root causes.
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and other planning documents.
• Perform what-if scenarios to assess the impact of potential changes or delays.
• Liaise with the project team to understand constraints and logistical issues affecting the schedule.
• Support the Planning Manager in risk analysis and the development of recovery plans.
• Review and incorporate updates from subcontractor schedules into the master schedule.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Planning Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and MS Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of construction sequences and techniques.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
