Planning Engineer
Job Summary:
The Planning Engineer will develop, manage, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project. They will ensure projects are delivered on time by tracking progress and identifying potential delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and baseline programs.
- Monitor and update project progress on a regular basis, identifying critical path and potential delays.
- Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead reports to project management.
- Analyze the impact of changes and variations on the project schedule.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to gather progress data.
- Recommend corrective actions and recovery plans to mitigate delays.
- Resource and cost loading of schedules for integrated project control.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the UAE construction sector.
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
