Planning Engineer – Joinery

Job Description

The Planning Engineer for Joinery is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the project schedules for joinery works. This includes coordinating tasks, ensuring timely delivery of materials, resources, and completion of projects, while maintaining adherence to quality standards and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:



Project Planning:

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for joinery works, including all phases from design through to installation. Ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the quality standards. Coordinate with architects, designers, and contractors to align schedules and resources.

Resource Management:

Prepare resource allocation plans (labor, materials, and equipment) based on project requirements. Track resource utilization and ensure optimal use of resources. Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials required for joinery works.

Cost Control:

Assist in cost estimation and monitor the financial aspects of the joinery projects. Track and report on project costs, including labor, materials, and overheads. Identify potential cost savings and report variances to the project manager.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks in the project timeline, scope, or resources and develop mitigation strategies. Work with the project team to resolve any delays or issues that may affect the schedule.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and submit regular reports on the progress of the joinery works, including timelines, resources, and any challenges encountered. Maintain accurate records of all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and approvals.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Coordinate with site supervisors, joinery craftsmen, and other teams to ensure tasks are completed as scheduled. Attend project meetings and communicate progress updates to stakeholders. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure materials are ordered in advance.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all joinery works meet quality standards and specifications. Address any discrepancies between the planned and actual work, ensuring corrective actions are taken when needed.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in planning and scheduling for construction or joinery projects. Strong knowledge of joinery processes and techniques. Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools).

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
