: Purpose & Accountabilities

The position is full-time and site-based at Ras Laffan.

As a member of the Minor Projects Team, show true HSSE leadership behaviours, continuing the outstanding safety performance seen to date in Qatar by genuinely believing in, and fostering a culture where people truly care about each other.

Provide materials and services cost input to Project Engineers for project cost estimation

Provide material availability for developing project schedule.

Assists in maintaining material status report

Support Minor Projects Planning Engineer for project end-end planning

Incorporate project plan in IAPS. Provide project inputs to IAPS and attend IAPS review & progress meetings.

Support Minor Projects Contracts/Procurement Engineer for the following

Checking project wise BOM - availability in warehouse & surplus stock

Create Material Master for new material purchases

Raise Purchase requisition for bought out materials and services

Raise Material Reservation for stock materials

Follow up with Vendors for supply of local materials

Raise Service Entries for Vendor services, coding of Shell invoices in SAP, Ariba

Raise MAPO as and when required

Ensure timely payment to suppliers/vendors as per agreed milestones and resolve any payment issues with AP team

Assists in maintaining material status report

Connect with Area Maintenance for 2 weeks look ahead and 90 days Look Ahead planning

Arrange Area Maintenance support as and when required

Dimensions

The Minor Projects Team deliver mainly onshore projects, which are brownfield projects at the Pearl GTL Asset. The projects typically range from small (<50 k USD) to 5 Mln USD. Annual project expenditure is estimated at 50-100 Mln USD. Design and Engineering is done by an in-house team of Discipline Design Engineers and construction is carried out by Minor Projects Construction Contractor with manpower of 250 to 500 persons. The Project Engineer ensures that the Minor Projects Team is geared up for quick delivery of projects without sacrificing safety and quality in the shortest possible time.

Skills & Requirements

Strong knowledge of Shell contracting and procurement processes

Strong communication skills to be fully conversant with vendors and contractorsaEUR(TM) engagements

Strong knowledge of SAP

Strong experience in developing schedules; knowledge of Primavera P6 is crucial.

Strong, and demonstrated, personal commitment to HSSE Leadership and experience in managing HSSE in projects. Brownfield project experience is preferred.

Team player with clear evidence of working with others to deliver common goals.

As a minimum, a diploma in any Engineering discipline with 10-15 years relevant experience is required.

Additional Information

This position is Ras Laffan based and within the Minor Projects team at site. The Minor Projects team was set up to provide in-country engineering services to Pearl GTL plant. The Minor Projects team handle Plant Change Requests and Minor Projects and is based at Pearl GTL plant, Ras Laffan, Qatar. There is a strong relationship between the Minor Projects Team and Pearl GTL disciplines and operating units as well as with various stakeholders in the country.
