Planning & Cost Control Engineer

with minimum of 5-10 years of experience with fit-out/contracting companies within the

Gulf.

Role Description:

The Planning & Cost Control Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and cost control systems to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong analytical skills and expertise in project management methodologies to support effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard software (PrimaveraP6, MS Project) ??Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and establish project milestones and critical path analysis ??Coordinate with project teams to establish realistic timelines and resource allocation ??Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly, identifying potential delays and recommending corrective actions ??Prepare schedule reports and presentations for management and stakeholders Monitor and control project budgets and cost estimates based on scope of work and BOQ ??Implement cost control procedures and monitor actual costs against budgeted amounts ??Perform earned value analysis and variance reporting ??Track and analyze cost trends, identifying potential cost overruns early ??Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project management teams ??Review and approve project expenditures and change orders in coordination with the estimation team Prepare comprehensive project status reports, including schedule performance, cost analysis, and forecasting ??Present findings and recommendations to senior management and clients ??Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company standards ??Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and construction Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, preferred with professional certificates of project management.
