Role: A Piping Engineer designs, analyzes, and oversees the installation of piping systems used to transport fluids, gases, or other materials in industries like oil & gas, petrochemical, power plants, and water treatment. Key Responsibilities:
Design and draft piping layouts using CAD/3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D).
Perform stress analysis (using CAESAR II or similar) to ensure structural integrity.
Select materials, valves, fittings, and supports based on project requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and process engineers.
Review and approve P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
Supervise fabrication, installation, and testing of piping systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve piping-related issues during construction or operation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of piping codes, fluid dynamics, and welding standards.
Experience with piping design software and stress analysis tools.
Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
