Pipeline Integrity Engineer
Office / Department
Abu Dhabi / MER Regional Technical Center (RTC)
The RTC primary geographical coverage addresses Abu Dhabi and Middle East Region. However, the core of its mission also covers all Middle East/India, Russia and Africa MIRA Zone countries, to the extent permitted by language restrictions.
The RTC market coverage addresses primarily Oil & Gas, Power and Process Industries, as well as to a limited extent Construction and Infrastructures.
The RTC technical coverage addresses desktop high-end, high added-value QHSE related services to Industry, such as Design Verification, Risk and Safety consultancy, Environmental services and consultancy and Asset Integrity Management Services.

He/She is expected to establish direct contact with Activity Managers of other offices within Middle East Region and MIRA Zone and whenever necessary with other Regions of Bureau Veritas organization.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate Engineer (B.S. degree or equivalent)
Training/Specialty
Fluent in English (written and spoken);
Good technical reporting skills in the English language.
Technical knowledge
Strong knowledge of the International Standards such as API-1160, ASME B31.8S, 580, 581, DNVGL-RP-F116, DNVGL-ST-F101 etc.
Strong knowledge of Client Specs (Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, QE, PDO etc).
Experience
Minimum proven 10 years of relevant experience in conducting Pipeline RBI and Integrity studies with major operators i.e. ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QE, PDO)
Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities
Primary Functions
The engineer shall develop pipeline integrity management programs and conduct Risk Based Inspection Assessment and Integrity assessments of Pipelines in accordance with international standards and client specs.
Technical Expertise
Development of pipeline integrity management programs.
Analyze ILI data, calculate corrosion growth rates, and determine remaining life.
Evaluate threats, internal/external corrosion, SCC, fatigue, third-party damage, Design Fabrication Installation, Incorrect operations and geohazards.
Prepare and review engineering reports, technical studies, and integrity assessments.
Ensure integrity programs comply with API 1160, ASME B31.4/B31.8, DNVGL-RP-F101, and other relevant specs.
Overall integrity effectiveness and management which includes, criticality assessments, pipeline threat assessments, consequence assessments, development of fit-for-purpose risk-based strategies, risk ranking, setting optimum task intervals including considerations to local regulations/ statutory requirements, timely review of inspection findings, and ever-greening of strategies.
Integrity assessment/ assurance activities like FFS, Corrosion Evaluations, Remaining Life Studies including pipeline defect assessment like dents, ovalities, laminations, cracks etc.
Develop inspection programs and coordinate ILI, DCVG/PCM surveys, CIPS, and other NDT techniques.
Recommend optimal inspection intervals and preventive maintenance strategies.
Support clients in evaluating pipeline repair methods and rehabilitation projects.
Trouble Shooting for Technical Issues
Act as a liaison with key clients enduring adherence to their specific standards and study protocols
Support the line manager in achieving KPIs, contract management and budget forecasting
Business Requirements
Participate in products development and dissemination in his field(s) of expertise
Assists in commercial actions in order to link client's needs and Bureau Veritas' services
Prepare technical aspects of tenders (related to his field of competencies), including but not limited to :
