Duties and Responsibilities. Pipeline Assessment and Design Collaborate with project teams to conduct integrity assessments for new pipeline projects, including design reviews and risk assessments. Provide expert advice on material selection, construction methods, inspection and corrosion protection strategies. Existing Asset Evaluation Perform in-depth assessments of existing pipelines to identify potential integrity threats, remnant life and recommend appropriate maintenance and remediation measures. Utilize advanced inspection techniques tailored to the condition of the existing assets. Integrity Management Program Development: Develop customized integrity management programs aligned with client-specific needs, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Integrate advanced tools and techniques to optimize integrity management strategies for both green field and brown field projects. Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments for projects, considering both green field and brown field scenarios, to prioritize activities and allocate resources effectively. Ensure that integrity management strategies are in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory guidelines. Client Engagement and Communication: Be part of the team liaison between the consultancy firm and clients, providing expert guidance and technical recommendations. Deliver clear and concise reports and presentations outlining findings, recommendations, and proposed mitigation strategies. Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate records of assessments, analyses, and integrity management program documentation for both green field and brown field projects. Project Oversight and Coordination: Provide technical oversight and coordination for integrity-related activities, ensuring seamless execution of projects Participate in safety and design review meetings e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, 3D Model, along with Client and representatives of other engineering disciplines What You Will Need: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is beneficial. A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in pipeline integrity management, with a track record in both green and brown field projects in the oil and gas sector. Pipeline design, construction, inspection, and maintenance expertise, with a focus on both new projects and evaluations of existing assets. Thorough familiarity with industry codes and standards like DNV-OS-F101, DNV-ST-F101, DNV-RP-F101, API 570, API 579, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, etc. Expertise in using integrity assessment tools and software including experience with advanced inspection techniques for both new and existing pipelines. Good analytical abilities to decipher complicated data sets and offer strategic recommendations specific to project needs. Outstanding communication abilities to engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies effectively, articulating technical concepts clearly and concisely. A thorough understanding of the environmental, health, and safety regulations that apply to pipeline operations in both greenfield and brownfield settings Certification in pipeline integrity (e.g., API 570, API 580, NACE CP or equivalent) is highly advantageous. Demonstrated proficiency in integrity management systems and risk-based inspection methodologies for a diverse range of projects.
