Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Picker to join our team. As a Warehouse Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting and preparing orders for shipment. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the right products are picked, packed, and labeled according to customer specifications, while maintaining a high level of quality and meeting tight deadlines. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, be physically fit, and possess a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Utilize order lists, pick tickets, or other instructions to identify and locate products within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack items accurately and efficiently according to established procedures, ensuring correct quantity and quality.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure accuracy of orders.
- Inspect items for damage, defects, or missing parts before packing.
- Package orders securely and apply appropriate labels, ensuring proper identification for shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move products to designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including shelving, picking areas, and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and order fulfillment.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Picker or similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret order lists, pick tickets, or other instructions.
- Basic math skills to count and verify quantities.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
