Physiotherapist, Live-In Role
Full-time, live-in position supporting a 5-year-old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy
You will support daily movement, strength, and mobility needs. You will help manage routines, stretching, breathing exercises, and safe physical activity.
Key responsibilities
Guide daily physiotherapy sessions suited to SMA
Manage stretching, positioning, and joint protection
Support respiratory exercises and cough-assist routines
Track progress and adjust exercises
Work with doctors and therapists on treatment plans
Train family members on safe handling and home routines
Manage assistive devices and equipment
Ensure a calm and supportive environment
Travel with the family when required
Requirements
Degree in Physiotherapy
Experience with pediatric cases
Knowledge of neuromuscular conditions
Strong focus on safety and hygiene
Patient, organized, attentive
Willing to live in and work a flexible schedule
Preferred skills
Experience with SMA or similar conditions
Understanding of respiratory care
Ability to build trust with young children
