PHP & JS Developer
Type: Full-time
Location: Remote and later to be on board (Cairo)
Experience Level: Mid to Senior (3+ years professional experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled PHP & JavaScript Developer who can work on our backend and frontend systems that power OTT and broadcast technology platforms. You'll collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to develop, maintain, and optimize web applications and internal management systems used by telco operators and media broadcasters.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend systems using PHP (Yii Framework) Build and enhance frontend modules using modern JS libraries (e.g., jQuery, Vue.js, or React) Integrate and maintain RESTful APIs and data interfaces Work with Linux environments, executing bash commands and automating system tasks Configure and troubleshoot Apache and Nginx web servers Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability and performance Contribute to deployment pipelines and production stability
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in PHP, particularly Yii Framework (v1 is essential) Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Familiarity with Go language (basic understanding of code structure and syntax) Experience working with Apache and Nginx configurations Comfort with Linux terminal, bash scripting, and server-side debugging * Knowledge of SQLite and PostgreSQL databases
