Reviews and interprets each prescription/ medication orders in the ward.
Provides appropriate patient information concerning the medications if & when required.
Advise/ questions/ clarified any prescription abnormality with the prescribing physician. Any unresolved problems are referred to chief pharmacist.
Inspects wards and clinics for outdated, deteriorated or excessive stocks.
Performs drug utilization/administration evaluations, systematic internal reviews.
Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following:

Knowledge of professional Pharmacy practice;
Ability to communicate orally and in writing;
Basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapeutics;

Checks & reviews medication stocks registers in the wards to ensure drug availability and correct inventory.
Replenish crash carts medications including controlled drugs.
Maintains a register for crash carts locks.
Inspects nursing cabinets and removes any outdated or deteriorated medications.
Answers drug related inquiries received from physicians, dentist and nurses. Those inquiries which cannot be answered with certainty are to be referred to the chief pharmacist.
Assists in the training of new in-pharmacist staff as per the direction of the chief pharmacist.
Performs other miscellaneous duties, as directed by the chief pharmacist.

Education and training. Pharmacists must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
At least two (2) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a hospital as a pharmacist.
Thorough knowledge of UAE Laws, company policies, regulations precedents applicable to the area of work.
Current license in country of origin with DHA license to practice Dubai, UAE.
Good command of English. Arabic is desirable but not essential.
