Job Opening: Pharmacist (UAE National Only)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

To ensure the safe, effective, and ethical use of medications by providing accurate dispensing, patient counseling, and collaboration with healthcare professionals in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations and clinic protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispensing & Medication Management

Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications. Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and contraindications. Maintain an updated inventory of medications and ensure proper storage conditions. Monitor expiry dates and dispose of expired or damaged products according to guidelines.

Patient Counseling & Support

Educate patients on correct medication usage, dosage, potential side effects, and storage. Address patient concerns regarding fertility medications and hormonal treatments. Provide medication adherence support, especially in complex treatment regimens.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with UAE laws and DOH (HAAD) regulations. Maintain complete and accurate pharmacy records, including prescriptions and stock logs. Participate in pharmacy audits and prepare required documentation for licensing bodies.

Clinical Collaboration

Work closely with physicians, nurses, and lab staff to ensure safe and effective medication use. Provide input on medication protocols and treatment plans, especially for fertility treatments. Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors as per clinic protocol.

Operational Duties

Manage procurement, storage, and issuance of medications. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of the pharmacy area.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D) from an accredited institution. Must be a

UAE National (Emirati)

with a valid

Family Book

. DOH (HAAD) License or Eligibility Letter is mandatory. Proven knowledge of pharmaceuticals, especially those used in fertility treatments, is an advantage. Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus). Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
