Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join for a new 120-bed tertiary care private hospital in Al Baha, Saudi Arabia. This position requires relocation to Al Baha.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures that all hospital staff prescribing, dispensing, or administering narcotics and controlled medications strictly follow prescribed rules, guidelines, and safety/security standards.
  • Liaises with Saudi Ministry of Health and Interior to ensure compliance and cooperation between them and AMI healthcare on all matters related to narcotics and controlled medications.
  • Makes annual narcotics/controlled medications projection list for submission to the Ministry of Health/World Health Organization.
  • Prepares request for annual import license and releases letters with coordination with Suppliers and SFDA in a timely manner.
  • Produces timely periodic reports regarding use of narcotics and controlled medications per Ministry of Health guidelines.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies and ensures appropriate safety and security of all storage areas.
  • Reviews CBAHI and JCIA standards and updates contentiously, ensures that policies and procedures are updated and implemented to reflect new requirements.
  • Performs other tasks and activities as needed or directed.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in hospital pharmacy. Or successful completion of the one year SCDP/Residency Program is required.
  • Applicants must be licensed by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) to be eligible for consideration.
