1. Dispense medications following prescriptions issued by an authorized medical practitioner;
2. Follow JAWDA, DOH Policies, QMS, & company policies & procedures;
3. Monitor items availability;
4. Provide specialized services to help patients manage conditions such as smoking cessation, high blood pressure, etc.;
5. Advise customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment and health-care supplies;
6. Follow legal operation of the pharmacy, including meeting all inspection and other requirements of rules and regulations governing pharmacy operations;
7. Answer pharmaceutical questions from patients and staff; monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals;
8. Ensure adherence with applicable state and federal laws and regulations;
9. Ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with pharmacy requirements;
10. Review prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and to ensure correct dosage;
11. Inventory, order, & maintain supply of drugs, and other pharmaceutical stock;
12. Advise patients & care providers of potential drug interactions, possible side effects, storage information, and instructions on how to use medications;
13. Present drug lectures to medical nursing staff, physicians, related internal education & other groups on matters pertaining to pharmacy;
14. Assist clinicians in establishing the proper protocols, storage, distribution, & administration procedures for investigatory drugs;
15. Maintains prescriptions method;
16. Train & supervise trainees and Pharmacy Assistants as assigned;
17. Serve the administration rules, DOH rules, & whatever serves the community;
18. Fill-in all the reporting forms available in JAWDA file when needed;
19. Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
