Under the direction of the Principal, performs a variety of clerical and support work involving both specific routines and broadly defined policies and procedures; greets and interacts with the parents and works cooperatively with staff. Ensures that the Principal is support in all areas of their work and also deals with work with confidentiality.
The role involves both written and oral communication; it requires relevant skills such as IT, organizational and presentation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Key responsibilities
Performing advanced diversified and confidential secretarial and administrative duties by independently preparing meeting agendas, memos and correspondence.
Completing a variety of non-routine assignments; coordinating busy and shifting office calendars including scheduling and coordinating meetings and/or conferences and attending meetings for purpose of recording, preparing and distributing minutes and reports.
Processing a considerable amount of confidential and sensitive information in support of administrative activities, which may include financial, student or staff related issues; serve as the primary liaison for Principal.
Receiving and initiating extensive, regular outside contacts on behalf of the Principal.
Proofreading and editing material for grammatical and factual accuracy. If required, tracking copies through various editing and distribution stages.
Determining sources of data. Compiling, extrapolating, synthesizing and manipulating data. Summarizing findings and writing reports or portions of reports.
Formatting, typing, proofreading, and editing correspondence, reports, and other material. Assembling attachments and corresponding material. Reviewing outgoing material for completeness, dates and signatures.
Coordinating travel arrangements for Principal and his/her visitors where necessary.
Providing direction and prioritization standards for the screening of the Principal\'s mail, email, voicemail and appointments using expert judgment and knowledge.
Anticipating Principal\'s needs and proactively bringing together appropriate people and other resources to support the Principal in addressing issues.
Undertaking any other key duties as assigned by the Principal.
On occasion, the job holder may be required to work beyond normal working hours for meetings, events, and short distance travel.
Supports the aims and ethos of the school as reflected in the Mission Statement.
Sets a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.
Any additional tasks/project assigned to you by school or beam management.

Mandatory Qualification and Work Experience
Minimum Secretarial specifications: The following requirements are for all secretarial related positions in Creative Science Schools.
Minimum of a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and/or Secretarial Diploma or two to three years secretarial experience.
Personal Assistant experience in Schools
Bilingual in English and Arabic
Extensive IT proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
The ability to carry out a high volume of routine work to high standards of accuracy and speed.
Typing speed minimum: 40 WPM
Knowledge of Oracle Systems
