Working with General Counsel to ensure the Legal Department's workflow is aligned to priorities
Identifying solutions to increase overall efficiency
Delivering on the IT architecture and strategy for the department; working with IT to choose and implement applications; ensuring systems are optimized
Supporting General Counsel in the department's communications strategy
Helping to identify, drive and track department metrics
Working with law firms and other outside vendors as and when required
Arranging required information and documentation companywide to ensure compliance under UAE Law
Carrying out reviews of legal documentation including but not limited to Supply Agreements, Distribution Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements
Assisting in the review of all Company Policies, including but not limited to HR and Compliance Policies
Coordinating the establishment of necessary Trade Licenses, Power of Attorneys & Directorships
Reviewing Contracts in respect to operations such as Employment Contract, Supplier Contracts, Rental Agreements, Management Agreements
Drafting legal documentation and corporate correspondence as required
Compliance:
Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
Draft, modify and implement company policies
Collaborate with General Counsel, HR Department and Finance Department to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
Coordinating and maintaining ISO Certification ensuring companywide adherence to International Standards
Operations & Office Management:
Overseeing corporate communications on behalf of the Company
Handling and overseeing all insurance policies for Company alongside the Finance Department, ranging from Health Insurance to Marine Insurance depending on business and project needs
Overseeing all procurement for the office
Sourcing and overseeing office supplier and contract agreements
Ensuring a high standard of all-round accurate record keeping and filing
Supporting Finance-related elements including updates to authorization limits, administering Petty Cash and credit card reconciliations as required, invoice payments, checking coding is accurate for reporting.
Contributes to other disciplines as the requirements of the business dictates
Essential:
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Law or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
At least 5 years' experience working in an operational capacity, preferably within the legal department in a Pharma or Healthcare setting
Experience working with and supporting senior executives
Capacity to think strategically to identify issues and develop long-term solutions
Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage major projects to successful completion
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative to be a self-starter
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong client-focus orientation
Demonstrated project management skills
Desired:
Master's degree in Business or Law

Salary: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
