Reporting to the Middle East India & Africa (MEIA) Managing Director, and working closely with the Headquarters Finance team based in Paris, your role as Finance Manager MEIA is to be responsible for the correct adequacy between Hermès Parfum et Beauté strategic goals and MEIA financial objectives. You are also responsible for MEIA:

IT business process ownership
The position is based in Dubai in our MEIA Regional office. As a true Business Partner, you will evolve within a dynamic and growing area, comprising more than 52 local markets, 21 distributors, hotel amenity business and 24 TR operators. You will have daily interactions with the MEIA Regional operational teams: Sales, Marketing, Training, Operations, ... As well as with all the different Central Finance departments: Accounting, Central Business Controlling, Internal Control.
Principales activités
Business controlling:
Proactively prepare and challenge yearly and B+2 budgets with Managing Director, local and central teams. Improve existing formats if necessary
Ensure the achievement of the financial targets and play a key role in communication of risks and opportunities vs objectives, as a main partner to the local Managing Director
Prepare monthly closings in collaboration with central accountancy
Prepare yearly closings in collaboration with central accountancy
Measure and analyse gaps between YTD results and budget / Prepare YTGo analysis
Follow up all budgets (communication and general overheads)
Daily follow up MEIA invoicing and organize weekly meetings with the commercial team to identify risks and opportunities and further maximize the monthly invoicing in a timely manner
Improve existing wholesale and sell out result tracking tool and provide team with monthly dashboard including sales panel, Top 10 markets, stores and references
Set up and monitor defined key performance indicators
Set up tools and processes for the accounting and finance topics
Follow up the regional investment process
Actively participate to the monthly team meeting and provide team with vision, guidelines, reminders, KPIs
Tax and accounting:
Work closely with the central accounting team in order:
To ensure on time suppliers payments
To manage customer’s payment and credit control
Contribute to produce all financial statements
Legal: contact point of headquarter regarding customers and vendors contracts
Internal control:
Implement internal control rules
Implement locally group internal control regulation and procedures, adapting them to local & business requirements
Communicate and train local teams on internal control issues
Report to HQ: transparency and action plans
IT:
Be the main contact point of headquarter IT team to ensure a smooth regional roll out of all IT projects and material:
IT Material set up and maintenance
Interfaces with central systems and external providers, if needed
Ensure cross-functional mission of carrying out new IT or Business projects related to financial monitoring in the area, in direct support of the markets of the Europe Export & Travel Retail Business Unit.
Pricing
Define MEIA pricing strategy, along with HQ and Managing Director
Run competitive price study 2x a year for key markets
Edit yearly price lists and POSM order forms
Management
Manage and coach a Business Analyst, according to the Hermès management values
Profil du candidat
You have a Master’s Degree in Finance or in Economics
Fluent in English and French is a must
You are Business oriented and have knowledge of basic accountancy
You have 5 to 8-year experience in business controlling in a context of rapid growth
Experience in Perfumes & Cosmetics and in retail/wholesale would be an asset
Good understanding of retail principles and practices
Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
Highly organised team player
Ability to work with tight deadlines
Proactive and flexible
Strong IT capabilities including: MS Office, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, TM1 and SAP
