DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 To provide an honest, competent and accountable service as a Professional Perfusionist

• Perfusionists construct the extracorporeal circuit to allow surgeon to connect the Heart Lung Machine to the patient to make a bloodless field

• Perfusionists conduct the extracorporeal circulation (Operate Heart Lung Machine) and ensure the safe management of Physiological Functions by monitoring and adjusting necessary variables.

• Perfusionists are responsible for Myocardial Preservation Techniques and Trained in the administration of blood products, anesthetic agents and drugs through extracorporeal circuit.
• Analyze and Discuss the Blood Gas Reports with Surgeons and Anesthesiologists and do the necessary variables.

• Keep abreast of the progress of Perfusion Technology and Knowledge to maintain the highest standard of Professional competence.

• Ensure that all Equipments used in the performance of Perfusion like Heart Lung Machine, Heater cooler machine, Cell Saver, Intra Aortic Balloon Pump, Blood Gas Analyzer, ACT Machine etc. are properly maintained.

• Provide round 'O' clock Perfusion Backup Services to the Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Cardiology Department in the event patient should need cardiac surgery or Intra Aortic Balloon.

• Maintain the Stock of Disposables which is needed for extracorporeal circulation.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS

• Graduate in Science (BSc) from an approved University

• 1 year of Internship in Perfusion Technology
• Post Graduate Diploma in Perfusion Technology
• Membership from Indian Society of Extracorporeal Technology

4.2 Current license in country of origin with DHA license to practice in U.A.E.
4.3 Minimum 3 years experience of practice in the field of Clinical Perfusionist.
4.4 Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
4.5 Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
