Role Overview:
As a Chinese-Speaking Payroll Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our Chinese-speaking employees. You will play a critical role in maintaining payroll records, calculating wages, and resolving payroll discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Chinese and English, with excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for Chinese-speaking employees accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee information in the payroll system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes accurately, taking into account overtime, bonuses, and other compensation components.
  • Address inquiries from employees regarding payroll-related matters, providing prompt and courteous assistance.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies or errors in a timely manner.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including issuing tax forms and preparing reports for regulatory authorities.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multinational company or shared service center environment.
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Proficient in payroll software and MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve payroll-related issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of Chinese labor laws and regulations is preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
