to join our culinary team in Nauru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, baked goods, and specialty items while maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and baked goods
Develop new dessert menus and recipes based on seasonal availability
Ensure consistency, quality, and portion control of all pastry items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize wastage
Comply with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required
Requirements:
Proven 5 years' experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker (hotel or resort experience preferred)
Formal culinary or pastry certification is an advantage
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dessert plating, and presentation
Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment
Good time management and attention to detail
Willingness to relocate and work in Nauru
