We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry & Bakery Chef to prepare high-quality desserts, breads, and baked goods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily production, menu consistency, product quality, and maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and produce a wide range of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and viennoiseries
Develop and improve recipes while ensuring consistency and quality
Manage daily mise en place and production schedules
Decorate and present pastries and desserts to a high standard
Ensure freshness, correct storage, and proper labeling of all products
Monitor stock levels and report ingredient requirements
Minimize waste and control food cost
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and bakery equipment
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
Train and supervise junior kitchen or bakery staff when required
Support new menu launches and seasonal items
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or Bakery Chef
Knowledge of baking techniques, doughs, creams, chocolate, and dessert plating
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays if required
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Creative mindset with attention to detail
Understanding of food safety standards
Culinary or pastry certification is an advantage
