We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Pastry Assistant / Pastry Chef to support our pastry production. The ideal candidate should have experience in desserts, pastries, and basic baking techniques, with strong attention to quality, taste, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Pastry & Baking Tasks
Assist in preparing pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked items.
Follow recipes and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Prepare fillings, creams, sauces, and doughs as needed.
Decorate and finish pastries to brand standards.
Assist in menu preparation and testing new dessert items.
Kitchen Operations
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry area.
Organize and store ingredients properly (labeling, dating, FIFO).
Assist in packing and arranging dessert orders for delivery and events.
Monitor inventory and report low-stock items.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and used safely.
Requirements
Previous experience in pastry or baking (required).
Strong attention to detail, precision, and creativity.
Ability to work efficiently and independently during part-time hours.
Knowledge of food safety & hygiene standards.
Ability to handle multiple tasks under time pressure.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques.
Work Schedule
Part-time (hours to be agreed based on workload).
May include weekends or event days depending on demand.
