Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented

Part-Time Landscape and Hardscape Designer

to join our team. In this role, you will design functional and visually appealing outdoor environments, including both softscape (plants, lawns) and hardscape (patios, walkways, retaining walls) elements. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, practical knowledge of outdoor materials and construction techniques, and a passion for creating inspiring outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess project goals and site conditions Create conceptual and detailed landscape and hardscape designs using CAD or design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, or similar) Prepare presentation boards, mood boards, and 3D renderings as needed Select appropriate materials, plants, and construction elements Ensure that designs comply with local zoning and environmental regulations Make site visits (if applicable) to gather data, take measurements, and monitor progress Work within budgetary constraints and provide cost-effective design solutions Revise designs based on feedback from clients or project manager Stay up to date on industry trends, materials, and sustainable design practices

Requirements:

Proven experience in landscape and hardscape design (portfolio required) Proficiency in design and drafting software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar) Understanding of horticulture, soil, drainage, grading, and materials Ability to visualize and communicate design concepts clearly Strong attention to detail and creativity Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field (preferred but not required) Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Schedule & Compensation:

Flexible, part-time hours (10-20 hours/week, depending on workload) Remote or hybrid options available Hourly rate or project-based compensation, depending on experience
