To be responsible for any correspondence, reports, and other information, as requested by the Principal.
Flexibility regarding hours when important deadlines need to be met
An understanding of working within a multi-cultural environment
To attend meetings and document actions arising from meetings attended by Principal.
Act as a confidential channel of communication with staff/parents and outside agencies and maintain good relationships with all students, parents/carers, colleagues, and external agencies.
Experience in working in an environment that involves dealing with a wide variety of people in a personable involved manner; listening skills and the ability to direct people to their specific needs area is essential
The ability to make decisions and handle unexpected situations in a mature and professional manner
Prepare correspondence and prepare briefing packs, reports and papers as and when requested. A high level of attention to detail
Follow up with concerned parties on relevant resolutions/issues to ensure completion
Provide administrative support to the Board of Governors, preparing the agendas and briefing papers for the termly meetings, attendance and minute taking.
Arrange Parent Meetings with the Principal, often under difficult circumstances
Monitor the ADEK Mailbox \xe2\x80\x93 to advise Principal of any urgent correspondence
To follow the policies and procedures as detailed by the school.
Be self-directed, yet able to work as a member of a team. Work collaboratively with Administration team, HR Team, Admissions and PREs
An ability to forward plan and keep to timelines and deadlines
Have a thorough knowledge of the school\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures
Carry out any other duties, commensurate with the post, which, from time to time, may be necessary for the good order of the Academy, as directed by the Principal.
Assist in any arrangements for visitors.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum diploma/degree of higher education; or Related industry qualification, of graduate level, for the assigned functional area(s).
Minimum Experience:
5+ Years\xe2\x80\x99 Experience in similar role.
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
Bi-lingual English/Arabic preferable, but not essential. A strong working understanding of English is important.
